The key that you have for your laptop is for an OEM license. The one you downloaded, and I linked are the same, and will not work for the license printed on the bottom of your laptop. Contact Samsung and get whatever recovery media they have. It may cost a few $$ though.
Do a clean install of the exact same edition of 8.1 as 8 is.
Windows 8 > 8.1 is a free upgrade released by Microsoft.
