Jan 11, 2013 Windows 7* system with Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver 1.0.6.245 does not have this issue. Windows 8 has native in-box USB 3.0 driver. Intel is not releasing a specific USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller driver for Windows 8. Hi all, So a bit over a year ago I upgraded my Windows 7 - Windows 10, as I'm sure many of us have. I didn't uninstall intel usb 3.0 extensible host controller (As Windows 10 has its own) Anyway, that being said it's been hassle free for all this time until yesterday.
